The Lantern Program
A 6‑Month Training Program for Early‑Career and Trainee Psychologists
A structured, values‑led training program focused on building clinical depth, ethical practice, and private practice readiness. Grounded in trauma‑informed, queer‑affirmative, neurodivergence‑affirming, and social justice‑informed therapy, it is a space for learning, practice, supervision, and reflection over time.

The program brings together:

-
Group learning in 4 lenses
-
Skills practice and reflection
-
Supervised client work (where we connect you to clients)
-
Support in building ethical, sustainable private practice systems

Last date to apply: 12 January, 11:59 pm IST
Learning Themes
Over a course of 6 months, we will be covering 6 major learning themes, with lectures, case discussions, and in-built group supervision:
Private Practice Set‑Up
Creating ethical, sustainable systems for private practice, including onboarding, retention, visibility, and long‑term alignment with values.
Process Skills
Building foundational therapeutic skills while orienting to the Self‑of‑the‑Therapist. This includes attending behaviour, observation skills, questioning, paraphrasing, reflection of feeling, therapist self‑awareness, transference and countertransference, ethical self‑disclosure, feedback, and working in the here‑and‑now.
Social Justice Frameworks
Understanding mental health through socio‑political contexts, including social location, power, privilege, systems of oppression, and accountability within therapeutic work.
Trauma‑
Informed Work
Developing a trauma‑informed presence and attunement. Sessions introduce core principles of trauma therapy, phase‑based approaches, preventing retraumatisation, tracking and contacting, stabilisation skills, and nervous system regulation.
Queer–Trans Affirmative Counselling Practice
Foundations of queer and trans affirmative practice, including rupture and repair, queer intimacies and kinship, and holding space for queer joy and futurity.
Neurodiversity‑Affirmative Work
Working ethically with neurodivergent clients through a neurodiversity‑affirming lens. Topics include spiky profiles, moving beyond DSM‑only frameworks, and intersections with trauma, gender, and identity.
