You may feel unseen or misunderstood in your gender identity. Misgendering, lack of recognition, or not having space to explore safely can be painful. Even within yourself, there may be questions, uncertainty, or longing for alignment.

Why it can happen

These struggles often come from living in a world that enforces rigid gender norms. Experiences of invalidation, discrimination, or lack of representation can make exploring or affirming gender feel harder. Your gender is not the probelm, the way it's treated is.

How it shows up day-to-day

In everyday life, this can show up as:

  • Discomfort with body (dysphoria)

  • Pronouns feeling wrong

  • Feeling unseen or erased in relationships or work 

  • Anxiety about how others will respond 

  • Struggles with self-doubt or safety
