You may feel unseen or misunderstood in your gender identity. Misgendering, lack of recognition, or not having space to explore safely can be painful. Even within yourself, there may be questions, uncertainty, or longing for alignment.
Why it can happen
These struggles often come from living in a world that enforces rigid gender norms. Experiences of invalidation, discrimination, or lack of representation can make exploring or affirming gender feel harder. Your gender is not the probelm, the way it's treated is.
How it shows up day-to-day
In everyday life, this can show up as:
Discomfort with body (dysphoria)
Pronouns feeling wrong
Feeling unseen or erased in relationships or work
Anxiety about how others will respond
Struggles with self-doubt or safety
What therapy can offer
Therapy can be an affirming, nonjudgmental space. Together, we might:
Explore and affirm your gender identity
Work through fears, shame, or rejection
Support steps toward transition, whether social and/or medical
Build resilience and community
A different way forward
Gender expression and identity can become sources of strength, authenticity, and connection. You deserve to feel whole and affirmed.
